Before a system of watch-making was not yet under the control of corporate streamlining, there was an era called "Golden age of mechanical watches" when watch manufacturers devoted themselves to pursuing the highest quality without considering their profit or loss. From 1930's to 60's when mechanical watches enjoyed the high tide, Venus was specializing in producing a hand-wound chronograph movements as well as Valjoux.

　

In autumn of 2000, GRACE FABLIAU launched a special model equipped with a movement by Venus featuring a split-seconds chronograph mechanism. The watch made a stunning impact on the industry, and it won enthusiastic applause from the market.

In the year of 2001, GRACE FABLIAU created the newest model which came up to great expectations. For the second edition endowed with an old stock movement, Venus cal.211 originally crafted in the middle of 1950's has been selected.

Cal.211 is one of the rarest chronograph movement with big date indicator at 6 o'clock, and! hardly anyone find in the mechanical watches of old era. Under its classic style dial and in the watch-case fashioned out of 18-carat yellow gold, Venus cal.211 continues to keep time.....this legendary masterpiece which comes to life in the present-day will surely give you great pleasure.

This timekeeper equipped with Venus cal.211 chronograph movement features a big date indication. 30 minutes totalizer at 3 o'clock, small second dial at 9 o'clock.
18-carat yellow gold case fitted with crocodile leather strap. Diameter 37.7mm, thickness 25mm.
Produced in a limited series of 10. Launched in November 2001. Swiss made.
